I would acknowledge that Khashoggi is dead, Trump says
On Thursday, October 18, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with reporters from New York Times in the White House that he would acknowledge that Jamal Khashoggi is dead unless a miracle happens.
Trump told reporters, “This one has caught the imagination of the world, unfortunately… It’s not a positive. Not a positive”.
He said, “Unless the miracle of all miracles happens, I would acknowledge that he’s dead. That’s based on everything — intelligence coming from every side”.
After some time when Trump was asked a Question, at Andrews Air Force Base, if Khashoggi was dead, he told reporters, “It certainly looks that way to me. It’s very sad”.

On Wednesday, speaking to MSNBC, former CIA director John Brennan said that White and Saudi Arabia are working together to figure out a story about Khashoggi’s case.
Brennan said, “It also seems now we’re in this surreal and morally horrific situation in which the White House and the Saudis seem to be trying to sort of figure out what story they can come up with that they can both have plausibility for Mohammad bin Salman”.
Khashoggi was a US green card holder and was a contributor to The Washington Post. He was last seen on October 2, 2018 when he went to Saudi mission in Turkey to obtain the necessary paperwork to marry his fiancée.
After Khishoggi’s disappearance, a Turkish newspaper said that it has the audio recording as evidence that he was killed inside the Saudi mission. There were allegations that Saudi Crown Prince ordered for his murder and agents directly linked to him killed Khashoggi.
