Anti World’s Tobacco Day : See Bollywood celebs who quit smoking
May 31st is celebrated as World No Tobacco Day by WHO. This day celebrates life and raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.
The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2019 is on tobacco and lung health. The campaign will increase awareness on the negative impact that tobacco has on people’s lung health, from cancer to chronic respiratory disease. This day will also remind us about the fundamental role lungs play for the health and well-being of all people.
Many bollywood celebs have made a smart choice by quitting smoking for a better and longer life.
Aamir Khan
Mr. perfectionist who is known for his unique idea of films struggled hard to quit smoking ..”whenever my film was about to release I got nervous and I would smoke to ease the pressure. My son and daughter were getting annoyed by this habit and my wife was telling me to throw cigarettes away. So on 1 jan 2011 I decided to quit,” said Aamir Khan.
Salman Khan
After suffering from a painful facial nerve disorder Trigeminal neuralgia, Salman Khan gave up smoking. Salman Khan was once a chain smoker, but his suffering from nerve illness led hom to change his life.
