On Thursday, October 11, Chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi criticized BJP chief Amit Shah for his remarks on Muslim vote bank and said that BJP is trying to make India a Raj of RSS.
Owaisi said, “Amit Shah is frustrated and lost and he does not know what to do in Telangana. Because the people in Telangana believe in a composite culture and vouch for the Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. In Telangana, we have governance according to constitution and people are governed by the rule of law”.
He said, “You are trying to make India a Raj of RSS. That is why the people of Telangana completely oppose and will not allow the RSS and its sister organization to do what they are doing in BJP ruled states”.
Owaisi’s remarks came a day after BJP chief Amit Shah criticized Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief Chandrasekhar Rao for not celebrating the “Hyderabad Liberation Day” due to the fear of Muslim vote bank.
Shah said, “Due to the fear of Owaisi and for the Muslim vote bank, Chandrasekhar Rao stopped celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day”.
Owaisi said, “I want to ask Amit Shah, why are you dancing to the tune of the gau rakshaks? Why are you not taking action against these people who are harming the youth of the country?”
He also said that there were no cases of communal violence in the southern state of India. He is a well-known critic of Bhartiya Janta Party.
Hyderabad Liberation Day is celebrated on September 17, the day the Nizam’s state was merged with the Indian Union.
