BJP MLA releases patriotic song on Ram Navami, Pakistan Army claims it was copied by Indian leader

Thakur Raja Singh Lodh, a BJP member of the Telangana legislative assembly representing the Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad Saturday posted a video of him singing a song “Hindustan Zindabad” on Twitter.

“My new song which will be released on 14th April at 11:45 am on the occasion of #SriRamNavami is dedicated to our #IndianArmy forces,” Lodh had tweeted on his official twitter handle.

The Pakistan Army later Sunday claimed that the Telangana BJP MLA had copied its anthem and dedicated it to the Indian armed forces.

Pakistani Army claimed the composition was a copy of a song released by its media wing on March 23 for Pakistan Day and stated that the song was written by Sahir Ali Bagga.

“Glad that you copied. But copy to speak the truth as well,” Pakistan army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted.

The BJP legislator, however, claimed that he was “clueless” about the existence of a Pakistani version of his song.

“I don’t have any clue about this Pakistani song. How do I know what the team composes or does? I didn’t even hear this Pakistani song even until now,” Lodh later said in a statement. When asked about the composer of the song, the MLA reportedly said, “We have a team that sat together and composed.”

He also released a video of his twitter handle where he is seen saying that he was happy to see the Pakistani media covering his song but no one in India was desperate enough to copy songs from Pakistan

“I didn’t even know that a terrorist state can also have singers. We have no necessity to copy a song from Pakistan, a terrorist state. We have everything in India, people who write songs and those who sing,” he said in the video.
