IIT Delhi Releases GATE 2020 Schedule : Here’s how to check the schedule

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, has organised institute for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020, has launched the GATE official website (gate.iitd.ac.in).

The examination, result dates and application fee structure have also been announced.

GATE 2020: Here are some important dates

September 3, 2019: The online GATE 2020 application process will begin on September 3.

September 24, 2019: Last date for online submission of GATE 2020 application form

October 1, 2019: Extended last date for GATE 2020 online application

February 1-2 and 8-9, 2020: GATE 2020 examination dates

March 16, 2020: GATE 2020 result announcement

The GATE 2020 will be conducted for 25 subjects. According to the IIT Delhi, the applications for GATE 2020 will start from September 3, 2019 and will close on September 24, 2019. The GATE examination centres are in different cities across the country including six cities outside India.

The GATE 2020 score will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results. It aims at taking admissions to MTech at IITs, IISc and other universities.

GATE 2020: Eligibility Criteria

The students who have completed or are in the final year of 4 years’ bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc/ Diploma in Engineering Students/Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of bacherlor’s degree in architecture (5 year course)/ naval architecture Students who have completed or are in the final year of a 4 year Bachelor’s in Science (BS) degree program are also eligible Candidates who have completed or are in the final year of master’s degree in any branch of Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Applications or equivalent Candidates who have completed or in final year of 4-year integrated Master’s Degree post BSc in Engineering/Technology, 5 year integrated master’s or dual degree or 5 year integrated M.Sc degree – BSc/MSc Dual degree programme are also eligible

“Over one million engineering graduates are expected to take the GATE exam in 2020. The exam has become a benchmark now and there is no equivalent exam in the world which is conducted at the stage and quality”, IIT Director V Ramgopal Rao.
