UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2019 Exam: Check Latest Notifications

Union Public Service commission (UPSC ) conducts civil service exam annually to recruit officers in All India Services (IAS, IPS) and central services like IFS, IRS, IAAS, IRTS etc. Here is a great opportunity for UPSC aspirants….!! .UPSC has released the notification for Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2019.

The aspirants who wish to join services like IAS, IPS, IFS can apply to appear for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2019.The registration for UPSC Civil Services exam will be done in two parts – Part I and Part II. Candidates can check the official notification of IAS/IFS on the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

UPSC Civil Services Exam – 2019 Important Dates:

Date for Online Application: February 19, 2019

Last date to apply online: March 18, 2019

Date of Preliminary Examination: June 2, 2019

Educational qualification for Civil Services Exam – 2019:

The candidates must have a Bachlor’s degree from a well recognized University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification, to appear in the exam.

Age Limit:

The lower age limit for IAS Exam 2019 is 21 years as on August 1, 2019, while upper age limit is 32 years. There is upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates, which is SC/ST- Upto 5 years, OBC- Upto 3 years, Defence Services Personnel disabled in operations during hostilities- Upto 3 years, Ex-servicemen- Upto 5 years,ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service- Upto 5 years, PwD candidates- Upto 10 years, Domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 1989- Upto 5 years.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2019: How to apply

Step 1: Visit upsconline.nic.in. The online application form is a two-step process – registration and filling of Part I and Part II online application forms.

Step 2: Select Part 1. After reading the instructions carefully, click on the ‘Yes’ option, which you will find at the bottom of the web page.

Step 3: A form will be displayed on the screen asking you to fill in details like Name, DOB, Address, etc.

Step 4: After filling the online application forms, candidates would be required to pay the fees. Remember that application forms without fee payment would be rejected.

Step 5: After registering Part 1, you will be allotted a ‘Registration number’, which will allow you to fill Part II online application form.

Note :

According to the official notification, there is no change in the no change in Age-Attempt limit (despite all the protests), no change in structure of the exam and no changes in Mains and interview syllabus or marks. Candidates are requested to go through the official website for the detailed information.
