Kim Jong-Un and Mike Pompeo appreciated positive situation on the Korean Peninsula
On Monday, October 8, North Korean News agency KCNA said that Kim Jong-Un expressed satisfaction on wonderful talks held with US Secretary of State’s Mike Pompeo during his visit to Pyongyang and both leaders appreciated the positively developing situation on the Korean peninsula.
KCNA said, “Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction over the productive and wonderful talks with Mike Pompeo at which mutual stands were fully understood and opinions exchanged”.
In the meeting with Pompeo, Kim Jong Un told that the proposal of denuclearization and matter of concerns of both sides were discussed and expressed that the issues between two sides can be resolved through the dialogue based on confidence between the leaders of two countries.
KCNA said, “Together with Mike Pompeo, Kim Jong Un appreciated the positively developing situation on the Korean peninsula, explained in detail the proposals for solving the denuclearization issue and matters of concern of both sides and exchanged constructive opinions”.
Mike Pompeo was on his fourth trip to North Korea to discuss denuclearisation of Korean peninsula. After meeting Chairman Kim, he went to South Korea and met President Moon Jae-In.
In meeting with President Moon, Secretary Pompeo said that He and Chairman Kim agreed for second US-North Korea summit, as per statement from South Korean Presidential office.
After meeting President Moon, Pompeo said to news briefing that Kim Jong Un is ready to allow the international inspectors into its nuclear and missile test sites.
Pompeo said, “There’s a lot of logistics that will be required to execute that”.
Whereas, following the meeting South Korean President Moon said that Kim Jong Un is expected to Meet Russian president Vladimir Putin soon and Chinese President Xi Jinping is also expected to visit North Korea, but he did not provide any details of the visit.
