US to build up nuclear weapons until people come to their senses, Trump warns Russia, China

The United States President Donald Trump targeted Russia and China and said that US will build up nuclear weapons until people come to their senses. He said that US has more money than anybody else to build nuclear weapons.

President Trump’s comments came days after he announced to pull out of Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty that was signed three decades ago. The treaty limits US and Russia the number of missiles they can produce and protect the security of US and European countries.

Trump told reporters at the White House, “We will build it (nuclear weapons) up. Until people come to their senses — Russia has not adhered to the agreement. This should have been done years ago. Until people come to their senses — we have more money than anybody else by far, we’ll build it up until they come to their senses”.

Trump accused Russia of violating the agreement and made it base for US to withdraw from the arms control treaty. He said, “I’m terminating the agreement because they violated the agreement. I’m terminating the agreement”.

Trump said, “When they do, then we’ll all stop. We will not only stop, we’ll reduce, which I would love to do. But right now, they have not adhered to the agreement”.

Trump said that Russia and China were not good to the agreement and warned that now they will not be able to match the capabilities of US in weapon development and cannot play game with him.

He said, “They have not adhered to the spirit of that agreement or to the agreement itself, Russia — China’s not as good at the agreement, they should be. But until they get smart, there’s nobody that’s going to be even close to us”.

Trump stressed, “It’s a threat to whoever you want, and it includes China, and it includes Russia and it includes anybody else that wants to play that game. You can’t do that. You can’t play that game on me”.
