CPM, Congress accuse RSS of trying to create Ayodhya like situation in Sabrimala
Amid the protests on Sabrimala matter, CPM, the left democratic front in Kerala, accused BJP-RSS of creating the situation similar to the Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya on Sabrimala issue. Main opposition Congress accused both CPM and BJP of creating the war like situation in the state.
CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said that RSS had lost the battle on Sabrimala issue and now trying to create the Ayodhya like situation in the state of Kerala as the pattern is similar to the time of Babri demolition.
Yechury told media, “ll the TV crews who went there (Sabarimla) which had women were roughed up. The pattern is very similar to the time of the Babri Masjid demolition. You have the heads of volunteers wearing saffron bands, the same dress you found there then”.
He said, “It is an organized thing that the RSS is doing. RSS has lost the battle of not letting the gates of Sabarimala open, they even lost the battle that the temple shouldn’t open on time”.

Whereas Congress said that it respects the sentiments of devotees and alleged that both CPM and BJP are trying to create the war like situation in Kerala, and criticized the state government of not acting carefully and responsibly.
Kerala PCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said, “While the CPM is trying to make a conflict zone, the RSS-led Sangh Parivar is trying to make another Ayodhya in Sabarimala”.
He said, “Right from the beginning, the Congress had been demanding the state government act carefully and responsibly, but they ignored our plea and a war-like situation has been created. The Congress always respects the sentiments of devotees. That was the path shown by Nehru and Gandhi”. Yechury responded by alleging”.
