NSA Ajit Doval Intervened and Convinced Maulana Saad to Vacate The Tablighi Markaz Building
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval intervened and convinced the Maulana Saad of Tablighi Jamaat, after the request of Delhi Police to vacate the Banglewali Masjid, located at Nizamuddin in Delhi, was rejected by Jamaat leadership.
As per Ministry of Home Affairs officials, NSA Ajit Doval visited Tablighi Markaz to meet Maulana at 2:00 am of 28-29 March night, after Home Minister Amit Shah asked him to get the job done.
NSA Doval convinced the Jamaat leadership to vacate the building for COVID-19 test of the attendees of the religious congregation who were present inside the masjid and to quarantine them to prevent the spread of virus.
There were 216 foreign nationals in the Tablighi Markaz building in Delhi and some 800 more are present in the different parts of country. Government is taking the steps to blacklist these foreign nationals on the ground of violation of visa norms, as almost all of them came on visitor’s visa instead of missionary visa.
As per government data, Approx 1800 people related to Tabligh Jamaat have been shifted to 9 hospitals/ quarantined centers across Delhi.
