‘Should we send you bangles’: Ajit Doval On Pak Intercepts Heard In J&K

After the scrapping of the J& K special status, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval said on that intelligence intercepts make it clear that Pakistani handlers of militants in Jammu and Kashmir are frustrated as their designs to spark unrest in the Valley.

“There are Pakistani communication towers 20 kilometers along border, they are trying to send messages, we heard intercepts they telling their men here ‘how so many apple trucks are moving, can’t you stop them? Should we send you bangles?’, Doval said while making reference to intercepted messages from Pakistan.

No question arises of Army atrocities…Indian Army is there to fight terrorists,” said Doval, adding that majority of Kashmiri support Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We heard intercepts…they were telling their men here ‘how so many apple trucks are moving, can’t you stop them? Should we send you bangles?’” he added.

“I am totally convinced that majority of Kashmiris support the abrogation of Article 370. They see greater opportunities, future, economic progress and employment opportunities and only a few miscreants are opposing it” said Doval.

As the National Security Advisor, Doval has been playing a key role in tackling the situation in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. He had spent around 10 days in the Valley to take stock of the situation. He visited several districts including Anantnag, Shopian, and Srinagar in the wake of scrapping the special status of the state.
