Oscars 2019: Winners for the 91st Academy Awards

Green Book took home the Best Picture award. It defeated Vice and Roma to win the coveted award. Green Book also won the award for the best Original Screenplay.

Rami Malek and Olivia Colman won the Best Performance in a Leading Role in the movies Bohemian Rhapsody and The Favorite respectively. The Best Film Editing award went to Bohemian Rhapsody. Best Cinematography and Best Foreign Language Film award was claimed by Alfonso Cuaron for Roma. Cuaron also won the Best Director Award for his Mexico-based drama Roma at the 91st Academy Awards ceremony.

Regina King claimed the best supporting actress honor for If Beale Street Could Talk, and Mahershala Ali won best supporting actor for Green Book. Spike Lee won best adapted screenplay for BlacKkKlansman while Nick Vallelonga, Brian Hayes Currie and Peter Farrelly claimed best original screenplay for Green Book.

In creative categories, Black Panther earned the costume design honor and a win for production design while Vice won for makeup and hairstyling. Bohemian Rhapsody won for film editing, sound editing and sound mixing and First Man won for visual effects.

Roma nabbed the best foreign-language film and cinematography honors. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won best animated feature, while Free Solo earned the best documentary feature award.

For best original song, Lady Gaga won for “Shallow” in A Star Is Born while Ludwig Göransson claimed a win for the score of Black Panther.

The 91st Academy Awards ceremony honoured the best films of 2018 and was held on February 24, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre, in Los Angeles, California.
