Palestine Liberation Organisation votes to end all agreements with Israel

On Monday, October 29, Palestine Liberation Organisation asked the Palestinian Authority to end all the commitments including security and economic agreements with the Israeli regime until Israel recognize a Palestinian state that was before 1967 with East Jerusalem al-Quda as its capital.

Palestinian president Abbas called on Palestinians to unite behind the PLO and to put the measures approved by the central council into actions. President Abbas hailed PLO’s decision to end the commitments with Israel and appeared to endorse the decision, as reported by Wafa. The decision was announced at the end of the two day committee meeting in Ramallah.

The PLO statement posted on the official Palestinian news agency Wafa said, “In view of Israel’s continued denial of the signed agreements, the PCC (PLO Central Council), in confirmation of its previous decision and considering that the transitional phase no longer exists, decides to end the commitments of the PLO and the Palestinian Authority toward its agreements with the occupying power, suspend recognition of the state of Israel until its recognition of the state of Palestine on the June 4, 1967 borders with east Jerusalem al-Quds as its capital, end security coordination in all its forms, and disengage economically from Israel on the grounds that the transitional phase, including the Paris Economic Protocols no longer exist”.

PLO also appreciated President Abbas’ efforts to reject the peace deal proposed by US President Donald Trump and said that Trump is not the part of the peace deal but the part of the problem.
