Owaisi says, RSS & BJP believe in ‘totalitarianism’ not in ‘pluralism’
On Thursday, October 18, AIMIM chief and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that RSS and BJP believe in totalitarianism but not in pluralism or rule of law.
Owaisi’s remarks came after RSS chief demanded government, in his Vijayadashmi address, to make appropriate and requisite law for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and said that temple construction is necessary from the self-esteem point of view.
Owaisi told reporters in Hyderabad, “Do it. Who is stopping RSS and their government (from making law for construction of Ram Mandir)? It is a clear example when a nation is converted into totalitarianism. RSS and BJP believe in totalitarianism. They don’t believe in pluralism or rule of law”.

Owaisi said that there cannot be a law for a particular religion and if it is made then it is the violation of constitution.
Earlier on Thursday RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said in his speech, “The construction of the temple is necessary from the self-esteem point of view, it will also pave the way for an atmosphere of goodwill and oneness in the country. The ‘janmabhoomi’ (birth place) is yet to be allocated for the construction of the temple although all kinds of evidence have affirmed that there was a temple at that place”.
He said, “The decision on ownership of the land should be expedited and the government should clear the path for the construction of the grand temple through an appropriate and requisite law”.
The next Ayodhya temple case hearing in Supreme Court is on October 29.
