Activists in Bhima Koregaon violence case wanted a civil war: Fadnavis

On Friday, September 28, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis hailed the Supreme Court order on the Bhima Koregaon activists arrest and said that that they were trying to create a civil war and were planning a huge conspiracy against the country.

Fadnavis said while addressing the media, “The Bhima Koregaon was just one incident while investigating it, the Police have come to know about many more instances of how the urban naxals were trying to create a conspiracy against the Nation. They were trying to create a civil war, they were trying to give a urban face to the naxalites in the country and were trying to shield them”.

About the lack of evidences against the activists to justify the arrest, he said that we have all the evidences and will provide to the court, in a statement saying “Certain Pseudo liberals, neo liberals and so called liberals were using the media to claim that there was no evidence. We have got all the material evidences, which we will provide to the court”.

Fadnavis said, “Those political parties who are supporting these people, I will only tell them one thing, supporting these (urban maoists) is like supporting the country’s enemies. If they give their support to such people then they would be exposed before the people and they would have to answer to the people.
