Terrorist incidents and violence has come down in Jammu-Kashmir
According to Home Ministry, terrorist incidents and violence has come down substantially after imposing Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per data compiled by Home Ministry, 47 terrorist incidents took place in last month from 16 June to 15 July 2018, whereas in the month of Ramadan during the ceasefire by armed forces, about 80 terrorist incidents took place.
On June 20, 2018 Governor’s rule was imposed in Jammu-Kashmir. In a month’s duration of Governor’s rule, 14 terrorists were killed and 5 soldiers were martyred whereas in the month before governor’s rule 24 terrorists were killed in encounters and 10 soldiers were martyred.
But, a little increase in stone pelting incidents was observed. During the governor’s rule 95 stone pelting incidents took place, whereas in the month before that 90 incidents had occurred.
It is believed that in the coming time, terror incidents and violence will reduce and peace will prevail in the beautiful valley of Jammu & Kashmir.
