Actor Kangana Ranaut will be seen walking the red carpet at Cannes International Film Festival this year. She is all set to rock her look with a saree this year. She made a strong appearance at the gala last year as well.
“Following an exhilarating debut last year at the Cannes Film Festival, I am looking forward to representing Indian cinema at such a prestigious platform with the global icon of luxury yet again. I made many lifelong memories, inclusive of both big and small moments”, Kangana said.
Kangana had attended the event last year in glorious Sabyasachi and this year she had a plan to promote Indian weavors. Kangana will be flying for the French Riviera on May 15th and will be walking the red carpet on 16th. Kangana is currently busy shooting for her up coming film Panga where she is playing a role of Kabaddi player.
Kangana said that she is taking some drama and the essence of her nation with her as she attends the prestigious event this year. She is in conversation with designer duo Falguni & Shane Peacock for her saree look.
“The clothes I wear will have drama. At the same time, as an Indian actor on a global platform, I have the responsibility of endorsing our weavers and wearing outfits that reflect our rich cultural heritage. My stylist Ami Patel and I have been brainstorming for a few weeks. We, along with Falguni and Shane Peacock, are designing a unique saree. The idea is to revive the forgotten weaves and bring them to the fore so that the world is more aware of our rich fabrics and culture,” said Kangana.
“I am keen to reflect India’s cultural heritage by wearing a saree that represents the ‘forgotten weaves’ of our country”. It was all about having fun, living life to the fullest and celebrating Indian cinema. I believe in treating oneself as you are worthy of only the best and this association is in perfect sync to my ideologiesshe added”, she added.
