Punjab Police: Vanguard of Punjab in fight against COVID-19

Punjab was the first state to impose a state wide curfew to curb the spread of COVID-19. Since then, Punjab Police has been constantly on the forefront to ensure curfew compliance. For the safety of people, during these unprecedented and challenging times Punjab Police has chosen to play a needful yet dynamic role.
On 27th March, 2020 DGP Punjab Police Shri Dinkar Gupta posted a video of Punjab Police personnel distributing cooked food to poor and underprivileged families from his official twitter handle. This noble gesture has gathered country wide appreciation from people.

Also, DGP showed their commitment to ensure movement of goods and transport vehicles through Punjab. The Police also issued helpline numbers for the disposal of any issues faced by transporters during the crisis.
To make sure that people do not suffer from any difficulty due to curfew, Punjab Police has issued district wise and services wise helpline numbers for citizens of Punjab. Also, Punjab Police is taking every possible step to ensure speedy home delivery of essential items to people at their doorstep.
