Opposition is afraid of Modi’s popularity; people are more intelligent than politicians think: Arun Jaitley

On Monday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in a facebook post that opposition is afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity and from the strong probability of NDA government to come back in power in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, so they are coming together.

Jaitley said that PM Modi as the most popular and dynamic leader among the present se of politicians. He also welcomed the agenda of opposition to form anti-BJP front.

Jaitley said, “The opposition is making Prime Minister Modi’s continuation in office as a key political issue. We in BJP welcome this agenda being set by the opposition”.

He said, “If that weren’t so, where was the need for multiple disparate forces to come together against him? It is only the fear of his popularity and comeback that is bringing them together. The Prime Minister remains by far the most popular, decisive and dynamic leader of the present set of politicians”.

Jaitley said, pointing at leaders of opposition parties, that people are more intelligent than the politicians think. He said that people will never choose a government that lack stability and that cannot work for longer time.

He said, “People are more intelligent than what politicians may think. They never choose chaos as an option. Aspirational society never commits collective suicide as they do not suffer from a Lemming Syndrome. People want a 5 Year Government, not a 6 Month one”.

Jaitley criticized opposition leaders for negativity in their speeches and said that there was no positive idea for future in the speeches of opposition leaders in Kolkata rally led by Mamta Banerjee.
