Ayushmann Khurrana’s new avtar in his upcoming film Dream Girl is absolutely hilarious

After films like Andhadhun, Badhai Ho and Article 15, Ayushman Khurana will be seen in absolutely hilarious character Pooja. The trailer of this film has been viewed over 15 million views in less than 24 hours. The trailer is already winning hearts, in which the actor depicts the role of a young man who imitates female voices, which leads to hilarious results.

The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and backed by Ekta Kapoor, the film is a Mathura-set comedy which is featuring Annu Kapoor, Nushrat Bharucha, Manjot Singh among others. His co-star Nushrat Bharucha has shared a BTS video in which Ayushmann is seen bringing his character alive. While uploading the video on her Instagram account, Nushrat wrote, “Meet my #DreamGirl co-actor @ayushmannk… oops co-actress Aayushi. #BTS #13KoMainTeri”.

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has dubbed in a female’s voice said that in our country, there has been a tradition, whenever Ramleela happens, a boy becomes Sita. But we never gave this any importance. This doesn’t happen anywhere but in India. I want to do films which tell our lesser talked about stories.

“The character that Raaj has written is unbelievable. I don’t think I’ve done any film being this fearless. I’ve usually played in subtlety but this one is out there and a lot of fun,” he added.

Talking about Ayushmann’s appearance in the song, director Raaj Shandilyaa said that When Ayushmann had to dress up as Radha or Sita, he lost weight and worked on the nuances to look feminine.

“When you come Mumbai, you create a certain perception in your mind because you’ve grown up on Hindi films. I thought Shah Rukh Khan’s character in ‘Kabhi Ha Kabhi Na’ would be my dream role. Then I thought Aamir’s character in ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ and even Amitabh sir’s character in ‘Shakti’ was my dream role. I never thought I would arrive as a sperm donor and then do ‘Dream Girl’ or an ‘Article 15’. The script writers today think ten steps ahead of perhaps what I can think.
