PM Modi discuss regional, global issues and economic engagement with Japanese leaders

On Monday, October 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono and held productive and focused discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues. PM Modi also met with Minister of Economy Trade and Industry, Hiroshige Seko during his visit to Japan.

Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Raveesh Kumar wrote on twitter, “Strengthening the strategic orientation of our relationship. Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono called on PM @narendramodi. Held productive and focused discussion on bilateral, regional and global issues”.

PM Modi met with Minister of Economy Trade and Industry, Hiroshige Seko and discussed economic engagements to strengthen economic partnership between India and Japan.

Raveesh Kumar tweeted, “Minister of @METI_JPN Hiroshige Seko called on PM @narendramodi. Discussed ways to enhance our economic engagement, specially given METI’s role in strengthening our economic partnership”.

PM Modi also met with the General Secretary of ruling Liberal Democratic Party, Toshihiro Nikai and appreciated his vision in strengthening the bilateral rrelations.

Kumar tweeted, “Secretary General of Liberal Democratic Party Toshihiro Nikai called on PM @narendramodi. PM appreciated his vision and experience in strengthening of our bilateral relationship, specially support extended to the flagship initiatives in India”.

Prime Minister Modi arrived in Japan on Saturday, where he was welcomed by Japanese PM Shinzo Abe. On Sunday PM Modi and PM Abe visited the factory of Industrial robot manufacturer Fanuc Corp… PM Abe hosted a private dinner for PM Modi at his holiday home in the Yamanashi prefecture, about 110 km west of Tokyo, Yamanashi prefecture is surrounded by mountains including Mount Fuji.

PM Modi also met with the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan, Yuji Kuroiwa and discussed cooperation in yoga and ayurvedic between India and Japan.

Kumar Tweeted, “A Memorandum of cooperation between Kanagawa prefecture & Ministry of Ayush in the field of healthcare & wellness was exchanged during the call on PM@narendramodi by Governor Kuroiwa”.
