Where the entire opposition continues to hold rallies and protests against the BJP, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav came up with a bombshell statement which left the entire opposition in a shock.
While participating in the valedictory speeches in the end of the 16th Lok Sabha Elections he said that he wants to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi back in power as the Prime Minister of India after the general elections this year. He also wished for the re-election of all the members in the house.
“Nobody speaks anything untoward about you. Nobody makes any comments against you. You have always tried to take everyone along. My congratulations to you. I want to say that all the members of the ruling party win again and you (Narendra Modi) return to the power”. Yadav said with a polite bow.
Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, sitting next to Mr. Yadav in the Lok Sabha was seen with a astonished smile when Samajwadi Party founder was piling praises on Modi.
After the Mulayam ‘s words of appreciation and compliments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi folded his hands and thanked him for his remark. While addressing the Yadav’s commendatory remark Modi said that the house has discarded over 1400 laws and this has proved to be an auspicious sign for the democracy. A lot more needs to be done and for that we have received the blessings of Yadav ji.
On being asked about the Yadav’s comment, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said, “I disagree with him. But Mulayam Singh Yadav has a role in politics and I respect his opinion.
Former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has been participating in anti- BJP rallies. Mulayam Singh has himself participated in the Anti- BJP rallies but has avoided making some personal remark.
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh said Mulayam Yadav ‘s laudatory remark in the Lok Sabha was just to create the confusion. He said that it is just to create confusion to ensure that Chandakala and Raman who looted Noida under the guidance of both Mulayam and Mayawati are saved and Modi gets neutralized.
