Arun Jaitley to use MP local area development fund for Rae Bareli: UP BJP spokesperson
On Sunday, October 7, UP BJP spokesperson, Hero Bajpai said that that Arun Jaitley has chosen Rae Bareli district as a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh and will use MP area development funds for development of Rae Bareli.
BJP spokesperson Bajpai said that Jaitley will not contest the Lok Sabha elections from Rae Bareli but he will work to strengthen the BJP in the Congress bastion. He said, “
Bajpai said, “Almost a month back, Jaitley had chosen Rae Bareli district as a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh. The backwardness of the district despite being represented by a prominent political family and the various demands which have been emanating from the district, prompted Jaitley ji to choose this”.
He said that Union Finance Minister may visit Rae Bareli in the first or second week of November.
Bajpai said that Rae Bareli could not be developed even after being the bastion of Congress and remains in the darkness. This will help BJP to win more than 73 seats from UP in Lok Sabha elections.

Bajpai said, “Rae Bareli, which remained in darkness, as development eluded it during the the Congress rule, has now started experiencing the first rays of development touching its soil. Whenever any stalwart leader enters a district, it adds a new dimension to the growth saga of the district”.
He said, “This will help the BJP achieve its mission of bagging more than 73 Lok Sabha seats from UP in the 2019 general elections”.
A Member of Parliament can suggest the district collector of one or more districts, from the area he won, for development work of upto Rs 5 crore per year. This is done under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).
Bajpai said that Rs. 2.5 has already reached the chief development officer of Rae Bareli.
